Term 3 Week 8

we would be having our performance this term , only my group is going Merchant of Venice , while the rest of the groups are doing Romeo and Juliet . Well , Bao Sheng and I needed to get the props ready , but some of the props must be done by hand . We had to get ready th Knife , Cloths , Bond , etc..

Term 3 Week 7

This week we did not do anything as it was National Day :)

Term 3 Week 9

We had been rehearsing for our performance , during our literature lessons as Mr Chua reminded us to do so :| , We have to get ready for th performance at it includes a BIG percentage% in our End of Year exams :) we went to the Spectrum to do our performance , thought some of the props are not ready , i think that we can handle it by th actual day :) . As for the wardrobe group , they seemed to have handled the costumes , well , it's just left with the finding and preparing of props and for the actors to memorise their scripts .

Term 3 Week 6

On Monday , Mr Chua was in a hurry

But he was kinda Pissed Off by the fact that ungrateful people go copied the answers of other peoples'

So he removed the so called Tray from the class .

Then , he called th Stage Managers and Costume Designers to get out a fullscap .

Then he brought us down to Ground Floor

And briefly explained to us what we were supposed to do :/

Then we went to our groups for the acting

I was supposed to take down the weak and main points of the people acting

But after all those acting , we gathered , debrief and went back to class :/

Then , on Tuesday , Mr Chua told us to get out our worksheet for THE MIGHTY MANDARIN

Then he asked students to answer the questions , as usual , Zzz

But there were some of the answers that i did not know how to answer ;x

Then he gave us homework and to hand it to Hidayah by the next lesson

But we did not even received the Homework he gave us ...

Term 3 Week 5

There's a quiz today . there's some i dont know the answer ;x

Then we started lesson and started Scene 3

From the first paragraph, i knew that Elvis Presley is a person who don't treasure things.

Just like how he treats his cadillac and Redhead.

In scene 3, i understood aout the fact that Older Presley misses his Mother a lot after her death.

As he is having performance at army place [idk what's it's called] when his Mother passed away.

After the lesson is finished , we had to do worksheets as homework -.- *obvoiusly ?*

Term 3 Week 4

In this week , i've learnt about ' Are you lonesome tonight ', scene 2 this week. Scene 2 we studied about Elvis and his mum, Gladys.
We learnt that Elvis treat his love ones differently when he was young.
We learnt that Elvis is not from a rich family as there are barely a car in the block except his only Cadillac.
And I just knew about Elvis had a twin brother, Jesse , that had passed away when he was a child .
Then Gladys said that she wanted chandeliers in the house.
Elvis said that she can have it anywhere she want , even thought it's in the garage or in the Bathroom ;x

Term 3 Week 3

Today , Mr.Chua told us to open our text and look at Elvis information and then ask some questions about Elvis Presley.

From the text, i knew he was the " King Of Rock And Roll " and best selling solo artist in history and alot of information like when he died.

He was born in Tupelo Mississippi USA and died in Memphis, Tennessee USA at a young age of 42 and had a child that was later married to the king of pop, Micheal Jackson.

From the scene 1 , i can see that Older Presley did not treat REDHEAD very well and he thought that she was a Money-Minded person too just like Duke and Gerry.

When REDHEAD wanted to talk to him and he just asked him what she wanted and that REDHEAD wasn't what Elvis thought she was, she cared for him.

Term 3 Week 2

Mr Chua told us about Elvis Presley .

He want us to write down what do we know about Elvis Presley , then i dont know how to answer.

But after his introduction towards Elvis Presley, we know some information about him :D

I Dont know that his daughter was married to Michael Jackson.

I learnt a lot of things after this lesson.

He's a very famous person who died of a overdose of drugs , same as Micheal Jackson.

Mr Chua showed us video on Elvis Presley .

Term 3 Week 1

This is the first week of semester two.

Mr Chua told us that we will be learning AYLT and TMM

to help our Acting skills when we do our performance,

Other groups will either be doing MOV or R&J .

My group is doing Merchant Of Venice .

The director is Kai Li as a socialised person

The rest of my group are good as well but we vote her .

The Performance's is 70% and the 30 % goes to our written exam

Literature lesson is back after the holidays . The timetable changed and our literature lessons changed to Tuesday and Thursday. Lessons recently was quite relaxing and good because we don't have to do paper works . But as for Tuesday, we gotten back our common test paper , 20/25 I thought i will just pass . After going through the paper, Ms Malyana took over Mr Chua's lesson. We have to push our tables to the side. Each side 4 tables.Then teacher briefed on what we're going to do next.Teaching us how to WALK. Walking at the speed of 1-5.

Speed 1 - As if you're not walking.
Speed 3 - Normal walking speed.
Speed 5 - Rushing for something.

After teacher briefed through the speed things, even numbers have to do the walking first , then after the even numbers, is the odd numbers.After that, is everyone together. So squeezy for 41 people to walk in speed of 5 in that small classroom...After the walking thing, we have to find 3 people in a group to do the Macbeth acting. My group have 3 people . We're very confused on how we should act. We must quickly make up time to do our props and stuffs. And we have to use recycled materials to do.We received a worksheet given by teacher after forming our groups.Then we have to complete it and hand it up on the next lesson.As for Thursday,we did something about the same as the walking. But now, we're acting.Some volunteered to act, but some was being sabotaged.Zuhairi and Sabrina acted a lot. First one was the burglar one. So many burglar . Second one was about a parent knowing that his/her child smoked. And was caught by teacher.We have to act as the parent and knowing that our "child" smoked. 10 students was being chosed to act as the parent. Then Hidayah and Jerod have to act as the husband/wife calling the husband/wife. Everyone cheered for Jerod (Lol) The third one can anyhow choose. Zuhairi acted first, so he can choose to act anything.He chosed MODEL. Then Sabrina followed, as a second model.Bao Sheng and Johanna next, as a photographer.There's judges, reporters, DJs, MCs, fans, and lots more.We can choose anything we want to be in this place. But some of us didn't act at all.This lesson is to let us have a chance to act as we're going to act Macbeth in few more weeks time.We also have so much fun in this two lessons.Although it's kind of embarrasing to act in front of the whole class, but a lot still tried their best .

Romeo & Juliet

We need to answer questions Mr.Chua gave us .
He gave us a worksheet about Romeo & Juliet .
He then asked people to answer his questions .
We Had to stay back after school for make up lessons again .
We went to the " Movers And Shakers " gallery and did some work there
It was about our Founding Fathers
After it was done , we went back to class .

We had our Litertaure lessons .
Then we had to get into " groups " again
But we had to a mindmap About our character triats
Mine was Tybalt and the rest was either Romeo , Juliet or Lord Capulet
I did my mindmap with Daniel .
We had to hand it in by the following Friday , 26/2/2010

Romeo and Juliet

Mr Chua taught us about Romeo and Juliet . Then we were put into different groups , register numbers 1 to 10 were Romeo , 11 to 20 were Juliet . 21 to 30 were Tybalt and 31 to 42 were Lord Capulet . We had Video lessons on Romeo and Juliet . The video was according to the text Mr Chua gave us . One part of the story was missing and Mr Chua printed it out for us . Mr Chua spilt us into our " Characters " . We had to do our character traits . Mine was Tybalt . I grouped with Daniel . We had to draw a mindmap about the character traits , Tybalt . Later we had to write our Friend's address on an envelope . We had to stamp our Cards with the stamps Mr Chua gave us . He will send the cards to our Good Friends .

Merchant Of Venice ( Part Two )

Our 6th Week

Mr Chua taught us about the Merchant Of Venice

There was an extra part about the story

Antonio wants to help Bassanio and borrowed money from Shylock

We thought Shylock was the villian and Antonio was the hero but it was the opposite

Antonio insulted Shylock and Shylock was in hatred towards Antonio as he spitted on his clothes

The lesson was taught by reading aloud or speaking up

We had homework about the extra part of the story

It is very rude and disrespectful to other's religion and call people names

We cannot live in harmony and peace if we are racist with other races as riots may start

I think it could be improved if the story was video and we could watch and feel about it

I can know what to do besides of being rude and disrespectful

I can be respected this way as well

Our 5th Week

Friendship doesn't consist of only a lot of people

it can only consist of two people only

the ones that you love and treasure a lot

While in the darkness

Friendship is a light within the darkness

We had to do an assignment
we had to write our feeling of our friends on a piece of paper
boths pages must have your feelings towards your friends
then Mr.Chua will send the piece of paper to your best friend :P

I'm not sure if he forgot :(

But on the 9th Feburary , he didn't collect it

Merchant Of Venice

Our 4th Week

We had to go to our "respective groups " and read out the characters that we were supposed to read out .

Then , afterwards it ended :P But it was " Fun " doing this stuff .

Mercy

Our 3rd Week

Example : He showed mercy by sparring his life instead of killing him .
Definition : Compassion or kindness shown towards an enemy , an offender or someone is one's power .


E.g. 1) Mercy is never subject to complusion You cannot force people to be merciful .

Macbeth

Our 2nd Week

A great general of the King of Scotland. Macbeth on his way home after a battle when three witches appear before him. Frightened , he and his fellow soldier, Banquo, hear astounding news: Macbeth will one day be king and so will Banquo's children. The witches vanish ,leaving the two men full of wonder and fear. Macbeth quickly becomes obsessed with the thought of being king and starts doing anything that will help him achieve the prophecy. Murder follows murder as he loses his sense of righteouness and becomes full of anger, hate and panic.
